I WANT MORE

I am so out of touch with reality, but more real than I have ever been. A hoper of hopes, and a dreamer of dreams, I want more than I have, and long for more than you know. I simply want more.

I want more people to be aware that this world is not as it seems. I want them to be aware that most of our desires are wisps of illusion created to seem more important than they really are. I want people to want more. I want you to want more, because there is so much more.

There is more to your life than meets the eye. You have a purpose that you may not even be aware of, a purpose that is so much more than clocking in and sacrificing forty hours of your life every single week just so that you can pay for more. More things. More stuff. More junk. All of it, pointless, or so it seems to be, when you finally snap out of reality with me, and finally get real.

So let’s get really real. Pray for wisdom, seek guidance, open your eyes, and let your mind be opened too. This world is not as it seems, and most of what we feel is so important, is the least important of all.

The type of car you drive? Unimportant. The type of clothes you wear? Trivial. The size of the home you own? Inconsequential.

Your things are just things. Useless, inanimate objects that we have been taught to deem more important than they really are. The world is for the most part, flashy, fake, and shallow, and we have somehow been taught that this is normal, that this is life.

Now, I’m not saying you don’t need these things. Most of us do. Most of us need a job to clock in to, a paycheck to pay for that car, those clothes, that home. We need to be fed, warm and safe. What we do not need is labels. The label of how important society sees you as based on the amount of money you make and the things you accumulate.

Gentleman, you will never be a better man because of the type of car that gets you to work. Ladies, you will never be a better woman because your eyebrows are on fleek and that manicure is on point.

People: Men, women, girls, boys, human beings, all of you, are so much more than what this world has shown you. I want you to see more, to have more, to be more. There is so much more.

Get off the social media for a minute. Turn off the TV. Turn off the radio. Go somewhere quiet, away from the glitter and the flash, and all the trash that attracts our interest. Get away from it all for just a few moments, and breathe.

Deep breath in. Deep breath out. That right there is important. The very breath of life God has given you, to make a difference. The very air you breathe that is being destroyed at this very moment, poisoned and tarnished by a world hell bent and focused on making more things.

Close your eyes. Picture your treasures. The jewels you absolutely couldn’t live without. For your sake, I really hope those valuables you are thinking about right now are people. Parents. Husbands. Wives. Friends, babies, and even pets. Living, breathing gems that are worth more than money could ever buy.

Open your heart. Ask for the illusion to be shattered. Ask for the wisdom to see beyond the material, the mirage of what seems to be, to the vision of what really is.

And what is it?

Well we, for the most part, have been willingly trapped in a world filled with so much stimulation of the mind that contains so much irrelevance. Everywhere we turn there is trash, junk, waste, and garbage, all of which has been dressed up to look like gold and silver. We are trapped in our own illusions of what we think is important, and have forgotten what really is.

We have forgotten the simple electricity of eye contact, because we are plugged into our phones. We have forgotten how to hold hands because they are full of devices. We have forgotten how to talk to neighbors because we pull into garages, in homes that are surrounded by fences, and probably don’t even know our neighbors’ names. We have forgotten to interact, to smile, to hold doors, to be polite, to slow down and smell the roses. We have forgotten how to really live, all in the name of living for more.

None of it matters. All of it matters. You matter, but your outfit does not. Your smile matters, but the type of phone that took the selfie does not. Your work matters, but the amount you bring home to buy more with does not.

Are you catching my drift? I promise you, that if you ask God for the wisdom of life’s real worth, He will open your eyes and the fantasy will fall away.

Most of what you worry about is not worth worrying about, and the things that are worth worrying about are being neglected. We are neglecting our people, our environment, our worth as fellow human beings, and we are trading it all in for stress, and anxiety revolving around an unreal image of the way the world is supposed to be, started by the ultimate liar, faker, and master of illusion, satan. I guarantee you he is laughing at the way we are mindlessly plunging down the path to our own demise. I mean, we literally just celebrated a day of supposed thankfulness for all that we have, only to follow it with an insane day of spending to accumulate more.

More. More. More. I suppose we didn’t have enough to be thankful for yesterday? None of it makes sense, and yet we have fallen for the illusion that this is somehow normal.

So today, if you have the initiative and desire to disconnect for a moment, to breathe and reflect on life’s true valuables, I want you to have the courage to ask for more.

More love, less hate. More being, less doing. More friends, less contacts. More health, less wealth. More fixing, less ruining. More giving, less taking. And most importantly, More God and less idolatry.

The world is yours, given to you by the King of Kings, for your enjoyment. Are you enjoying it the right way? The loving way? Or have you forgotten the true treasures it offers because you are trapped in your own little fantasy world controlled by screens, and signal strength, and cords and headphones?

Unplug and snap back to unreality with me, the place for the few and far between. The place you were meant to be, which is right here, right now, reading this. The place where you disconnect from the reality of this modern world, and from all the nonsense that once seemed to make sense. The place that only God can open your eyes to see.

I want more. So much more. And so do you.

Don’t you?

Many blessings to you,

Ray
